OUR STORY
From humble beginnings to being nominated “Best Bar Band” in the 2018 Time Out Dubai magazine Awards, Cubache is an ensemble of musicians homegrown in Cuba but bred for the big stage.
With an affinity to Cuba and a vision to showcase its colourful music and culture in Dubai, Sherin Al Alami; Managing Director of La Clé Entertainment, travelled to Cuba in search of fresh musical talent. Sherin auditioned musicians in Havana and under her artistic direction “Cubache” a 6 piece ensemble was born.
Under the musical direction of keyboardist Wuilver, the band plays the very best authentic Cuban music, an addictive fusion of Latin and Afro rhythms that create the Buena Vista and salsa styles with an influential mix of Spanish, French and Afro Cuban heritage
Hailing from different regions of Cuba, each band member brings their own influences to the group but one thing is one sure – they are all equally passionate about maintaining the traditions of Cuban music.
The band has featured numerous talented cuban female led vocalist such as Yuri Moreno Soria, a London based singer from Santiago Cuba whose vocals and presence was heavily influenced legendary Celia Cruz's.

Lisandra Valdes was the feastured vocalist from 2016 till 2023 - a young aspiring Cuban performer from Havana with a voice that crosses the breadth of authentic Cuban son, including boleros, afro-soul, rumba, salsa and Latin soul in particular. She has been singing since a very young age with musical inspiration from Cuban pop sensation Gloria Estefan. She has performed in Turkey and on 5 star cruise liners performing salsa shows prior to joining the Time Out Nominated band.

Cubahce has recently welcome our latest lead singer & guitarist, Ivena Litan, a Havana native with a modern twist to cuban sounds and music using her captivating stage presence and exotic afro cuban style. Inspired by artists such as Celia Cruz, LaLupe and Omara Portuondo to name a few.
Cubache successfully wowed audiences with their hot salsa rhythms and authentic Cuban tempos! Emulating and reviving Cuba's "musical golden age" they perform the purest form of Cuban rhythms with a mix of Buena Vista Club renditions, Afro-Cuban son, salsa, merengue, rumba, Latin soul cha cha chá and bolero.
